Obedience Training
Client Testimonials
From the moment I talked to Sharron on the phone to inquire about training for my 4 month old Boxer Barkley, I knew it was going to be a wonderful experience. She answered all of my questions and took the time to ask me questions about Barkley. After the first day of training Barkley was already showing improvement. Lamb is a wonderful, caring man who has an abundance of patience with dogs and their owners. I couldn’t of been more blessed to have Lamb train Barkley and I. We continue to visit and Barkley will attend off leash training once he is old enough. Lamb and Sharron truly made me feel like family. Stacie E., Fullerton
We wanted to take a quick moment to thank you for all of your wonderful work with our little terrorist, Sierra. We've had Sierra for 8 months and we always knew she had the potential to be a fantastic dog, but we also knew that we weren't helping her reach her potential. After just one too many bad walks (and by walk I mean...being jerked from side to side, trying to hold her back when another dog approaches, snapping at people and other general calamities) we knew we had to reach out to someone for help.
In the 2 short weeks you had Sierra we've seen a tremendous transformation. Walking her is a pleasure, she's obedient, she doesn't pull on her leash, and while she might whimper just a tad...she is not trying to drag us to visit every dog we run across on a walk. And we've also seen an amazing transformation around the house. The lovely little game of grabbing items and running off with them are a thing of the past. If we call for her in the backyard, she comes running. And, if she does start to get the puppy crazies a quick HEEL and she'll lie down and wait for the next instruction.
You did fantastic work with Sierra, but also with us. You helped reinforce that we were the alpha dog and needed to take control, that it was alright for us to raise our voice or give her a firm tug when she needed to be brought in line.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for making Sierra even more of a treasured member of our family. We look forward to having her work with you more in the future for reinforcement, as well as her coming to visit Uncle Lam and Aunt Sharron for doggie daycare. Best always, Sean, Andree, and Sierra My husband and I adopted Psycho from a kill shelter when he was 13 months old. He was surrendered by his owners, adopted once, and taken back to the shelter. His previous owners had told the shelter that he was an escape artist and needed lots of exercise. When we brought Psycho home he quickly fit into our home, and our hearts. He had no training, could not walk on a leash, and was very difficult at first, but daily training at home and on leash proved successful. He is very smart, and quickly learned to sit, stay, heel, lie down, and crawl. Our largest frustration was his love of running, and whenever a door or gate was left open or ajar, he would make a mad dash and speed down the street before we had a chance to blink! He wasn’t trying to run away, he just wanted to play, and made a game of it. We were referred to Chief Lamb and signed up Psycho for lessons. Within a few short days, Psycho was behaving better on walks, listening better at home, and stopped bolting out the front door. Now, we can leave our front door or side gate wide open, and if Psycho goes out front, we simply say, “Psycho, come home,” and he trots right back. It’s such a relief that he doesn’t run anymore. Thank you Chief Lamb! Denise & Seth B., Orange Dear All States K-9, I want to thank you for training our dog Cookie. It's a joy to have a dog that is obedience trained. As you know we got the eight training sessions. I noticed a difference in Cookie's behavior the first day. She heels great and obeys all of her commands. You also did a great job with Cookie's social skills. She gets along well with other dogs. Not only did you train Cookie, but you trained our family how to handle her correctly. This was very important. Your staff was always there to help with any problems or questions. Thank You, David S, Fullerton
We are writing this letter as a testimonial to the wonderful training that All States K-9 has provided to our dogs, Ginger and Molly. Our eleven month old puppies had gone through basic training and still had a lot to learn. One day while driving, we noticed one of the All States K-9 vehicles and decided to call; it was one of our best decisions ever! We are so impressed with the training that our dogs have received from Lamb. Our dogs were barking and unable to walk correctly on a leash. After working with Lamb, Ginger and Molly are much more confident. They are able to walk on leash and listen to our commands. We didn’t think it would be possible to get them to do the things Lamb has taught them. Lamb has also worked showing us how to handle situations to ensure we are the leaders. We have seen an amazing transformation with our dogs’ behavior and happiness. Ginger and Molly are continuing their training with Lamb through Doggie Daycare. They come home tired after every visit and love playing in a safe environment with different dogs. They are socialized, walked, and fed! The lifetime guarantee provided by All States K-9 is proof that Lamb is in it for the long haul with you and your dog. Training with Lamb doesn’t end when your sessions end. He offers one-on-one help and continues training until you and your dog have it right! Lamb and Sharron care so much about all the dogs that come to their facility. It’s without a doubt that they treat everyone as family. The support and care they extend is like none we’ve ever experienced. Thank you Lamb and Sharron! Kelvin & Patsy O., Fullerton Dear Sharon and Lamb, You and Lamb have been officially adopted by our family! Thanks to you both we've changed how we interact with our dog, Anda. As much as we love her, her aggressive behavior always kept us feeling anxious and on guard. Thanks to your very impressive, kind, yet firm techniques we can enjoy her in a way that enriches our relationship with her. This will be the first time ever, that we can confidently leave our pet in someone else's care and not be concerned that she will be mistreated. See you soon, and Thank you! We hope to continue to keep active. A Abdali, Corona
Thanks so much for "Dede's" first day of school. She is sleeping/resting at home after a full day of "work" at your facility. I couldn't have been more surprised than when I came to pick her up today and you showed me the photos of her socializing with other dogs (large & small) - off leash & without her muzzle ! And, she was obviously enjoying the time with her new playmates. I can definitely see the advantage of leaving her with you, so that you can work with her - at various times - throughout the day. This type of schedule and intensive one-on-one training is going to improve her behaviour (and myskills) so much faster than me simply attending a weekly one hour group obedience class at the park. I was a bit skeptical about the "doggie day care" concept, but, I understand now how the All States K-9 daily routine involves much more than just "parking" her at a kennel. I believe the combination of your periodic walks in the neighborhood (nearby airport, manufacturing businesses, street noise, etc.) and the socialization with other kennelmates exposes her to the world quickly, but, in a controlled environment, so as to enable her to progress into a calm, peaceful, obedient (puppy) dog. Again, it has only been (1) day, yet already I feel confident that she is (at last) with the best trainer possible. I know I too have a lot of work with "Dede" to perform at home, but I definitely needed some professional guidance to assist me. Well, I can't speak for Dede, but, personally, I can hardly wait for our next school day, because I can truly see improvement in her attentiveness to me - after only one day at your facility ("unbelievable, outstanding"). Regards, Mary & "Daredevil Dede" My dog was exhibiting aggressive behavior so I took him to All States K-9 and "Lamb" for training. Best decision I ever made! Lamb handles the dogs beautifully. He is very strict during training, yet loving and gentle . We have no more problems with aggression, come to think of it, I haven't had any holes in the yard or any chewed up hoses either.( Wish we would have known about All States 7 hoses earlier!) The rewards of this training and knowledge gained on how to really handle your dog and be in control is immeasurable. As you will learn during your training, the more discipline/exercise you give your pet the more love and affection you will receive.
When you train at All States with Lamb and Sharron, you become family. They are exceptional people. Trooper truly loves his "Uncle Lamb"! Thank you Lamb and Sharron, we will recommend you to all our two and four legged friends! Trooper and Jeanette, Buena Park
We are extremely pleased to have had our Rottweiler trained by All States K-9 Academy. Acee was in the Home Stay Program at the academy and has been a well behaved family dog since. The academy is unbelievably the most well organized and clean training facility. Both Sharron and Lamb treated us like family and it was an unforgettable experience! To this day I enjoy keeping in contact with the both of them. I recommend All States K-9 academy to everyone who has a dog, they will get the BEST of training at a loving facility. Sincerely, Robert & Rachel A., Whittier
Before training with All States K-9,our new puppy Booh (our rottie) was a ball of energy with little direction. After her training, and literally after her first day of training with Lamb, I and my family noticed a measurable difference in Booh. She was so happy to have limitations and directions set. She couldn't wait for her next visit. The special added side effect of her training is a closer bond with Booh. All States K-9 Detection & Dog Training has the recipe. Thank You!!! Carol R., LaPalma
When we got our Doberman Pinscher puppy, he was a 50 pound monster! We didn’t even think we were going to be able to keep him. Indie would jump up on us and was a nightmare to walk on a leash. All States K-9 helped us fix all that. Derrick and Lamb were patient yet firm. They taught me how to do the same thing at home. He now minds better and is a pleasure to take on walks. Amy R, Santa Ana Beau sure does love his Uncle Lamb. Thanks again for everything and your continued excellent service. Beau is doing Excellent and I'm glad that you (Sharron) and Lamb made my first experience with a trainer an awesome one. My fiancé, children and I are very proud to be part of such a wonderful family. Thanks again, Will M, Buena Park
The best investment I made in my two German shepherd family members is the training I received from All States K-9. Maxey (2 year female) and Stevie (1 year old male) received on leash and off leash training, and various other commands like down and stay. Before I sought training with All States K-9, I did not trust my dogs around other dogs as they expressed aggression towards other dogs; and I certainly could not let them go outside off leash. Maxey always expressed her excitement towards people by jumping on them and not obeying me when I would tell her off. We, my dogs and I, graduated your training session satisfying all my expectations. I gained the respect from both my dogs and they learned that I am the pack leader. Both dogs are trained on and off leash; they are by my side always inside and outside. Both dogs learned down and stay and remain in down position until I release them. Maxey still gets excited when meeting new people (that is her personality), but she listens when I tell her off. ‘Having a dog is a huge responsibility and having a dog not trained is a huge liability’. To assure that my dogs remain well behaved, I established a daily routine for both dogs using the training exercises I learned from All States K-9. Last night on our nightly walk, we had an encounter with two little dogs loose in their front yard. The two little dogs charged Maxey and Stevie and started nipping at their heels. I commanded both my dogs ‘leave it’ and continued to enforce the command and walked on without incident. Maxey and Stevie trotted on as if to say, "step off little dogs, you are interrupting my relaxing walk with my master." Lori M, Fullerton We had a problem with Ginger being aggressive mostly towards other dogs. Our goal was to see her socialize with other dogs. Ginger had received obedience training before we came to All States K-9 but needed more behavioral training.
At All States K-9 we learned techniques to keep Ginger under control. We saw under the professional guidance of the trainers that Ginger can be with other dogs (for example, at the All States K-9 free-group-reinforcement class with nine other dogs) Ginger showed great improvement and that she can be with other dogs. Thanks, Kathy, Roger & Ginger S, Fullerton Just a note to thank you for all the help you gave to me and Callie. It (the help) was tremendous and we really appreciate it. She's a wonderful walker, sitter and lie downer since your excellent training. Callie lies down now without my telling her to by just dropping the leash a little lower. Now I'm trying to pass it on to my other dog. Callie wants to thank you, too. Sincerely, Marian B, Orange
I would like to take this opportunity to commend All States K-9 Detection on the wonderful job you did training my puppy Auto. You and your entire team treated my dog and I as part of your family, and took excellent care of us from the very first phone call.
When I initially contacted Sharron, I was frustrated and unsure of how to work with my dog. He had specific behavioral issues that were not healthy for either of us, and I knew he needed attention and instruction that I was not able to provide on my own. Sharron asked me numerous questions to get a feel for my situation, and then invited us over for a consultation. Sharron was the friendliest person and made me feel comfortable and more in control of the situation. When we met on that Tuesday, I was introduced to the two of you and Derek. Each of you greeted us warmly and interacted with Auto, which I appreciated. You all assured me that he was not a hopeless case and were honest when assessing his behavior. You informed me that his aggression level and desire to jump on people would improve during training, and with consistent follow-up practice on my part would eventually be eliminated; however, you did caution that the improper behavior would not disappear overnight. I was encouraged to continue our twice daily walking routine and at the conclusion of each session I would be given a lesson on how to continue training at home. In addition to an evaluation of Auto’s behavior, Lamb gave me a tour of the facility, with its training rooms designed to resemble cells and offices, and the cleanliness of the location and kennels was excellent. All of the other dogs present at the time had their own spacious kennels, proper food and water and were well cared for. Lamb also took out one of his K-9 dogs to demonstrate the level of training, and I left the training area impressed and confident that Auto had found the right teachers. Auto attended “school” twice a week for three weeks, and I utilized your “drop and go” service, which was a blessing for a working person such as myself. We arranged a drop off time in the morning, when I would take Auto to your facility. Lamb always greeted us with hugs and smiles and inquired about our day and progress. He asked about the positive changes as well as specific struggles we had, and gave me pointers along the way to improve my techniques. You, Lamb and the crew took Auto for walks, trained him several times a day and gave him much appreciated play time, which I know he loved. In addition, you cared for me, giving me hope and support, for which I am most grateful. At the end of the day, I picked up my canine student and reviewed the day’s work with you. Either one or both of you were there at all times, and you each provided input about Auto and his personality. With each day’s training, I could see improvement in Auto’s behavior, and by the time his sessions were completed, I was able to walk past other dogs without him getting agitated or barking, and his jumping decreased significantly. He walks exceptionally well on the leash now, and will sit, lie down, stay and return to me when called. To be able to have all of this accomplished in such a short time was amazing and has made living with my puppy much more enjoyable! I cannot say enough good things about All States K-9 Detection. I feel that the sessions made a huge difference in our lives for the better, and the training was a fantastic value for the care and services you provided. You treated Auto and I as members of your family, and you in turn have become part of our family as well. From the safe, secure facility to excellent, firm yet caring instruction, All States K-9 is an amazing place to take pets if you want a loving, obedient, well-mannered dog in your life. We plan to visit as often as we can, and look forward to future training opportunities with you and the crew. Our warmest affection and best wishes always, Kristin and Auto L, Bellflower We can tell Barry is very happy and enjoys every moment being trained in your facility. We are so lucky to have you as Barry's trainer! Joe and YY, Fullerton
A heartfelt thank you to 'All States K-9' for all their help with my little buddy Maverick. Both Sharron and Lamb are dedicated to the success of all dogs and their owners! They were compassionate and caring with the well being of my puppy and had his best interest at heart. They were always available and even trained at my home to work in his environment. The techniques they used were easy and useful. I am pleased to say that Maverick is now a well behaved, obedient boy! Thank you again! Sincerely, Leslie A, Santa Ana
I adopted a chocolate Labrador, Miles, on July 4th, 2009 as a surprise for my two young daughters. Having had a Lab with a wonderful temperament for the past 13 years, I thought this would be a great idea for our new family pet. Miles started off as all puppies do, "accidents" everywhere in the house, chewing everything in sight, jumping on people and destroying anything that he considered "his toy" (which was anything within his reach)! He went from a 15 pound rambunctious puppy to a 70 pound problem, very quickly. I love dogs and wanted Miles to be a part of our family, hanging out with us at night in the house, taking him to work with me, going on road trips, weekend hikes, etc but he became too much for me to handle. I did what I thought was the responsible things as an owner and signed him up for puppy training at PetSmart. We enrolled in an 8 week class which drug on for 16 weeks due to their constant canceling of the class. At the end of our sessions at PetSmart I could sometimes get him to sit on command, but forget about staying or dropping something he should not have in this mouth. I spent the next 4 months trying to train him on my own but after (literally) thousands of dollars in damage (chewed patio furniture, destroyed lawn from digging, ripped out all the backyard lighting and sprinklers, shoes, kids toys & one Rolex watch) I was at the end of my emotional and financial rope with this dog. While driving home from work I saw a sign for All States K-9 and wrote down their web address; I had no idea the blessing that had just come into my life! I called and spoke with Sharron that evening. She was very kind, understanding and helpful on the phone. The next day I took Miles to meet Lamb and Sharron at their facility. I was immediately impressed with their knowledge, professionalism, facilities and dogs. All of the dogs in their care were happy, well behaved and EAGER to please Lamb....I wanted this for my dog! Lamb spent 30 minutes of his time to take us on an extensive tour of their facilities, all the while bonding with Miles, and I signed on for the training we desperately needed. I dropped him off the next day and headed to work. That evening I picked him up and instantly noticed a difference in his behavior and focus. It was obvious that Lamb had spent a lot of time working with him. Miles was happy and comfortable but I could tell that he knew his days as "Alpha Dog" were over. We started coming three days a week and I was pleased to see how happy Miles was to go to training. He would hop in the car, sit down and wag his tail when he saw Lamb come out to get him. Everyday, picking him up was a treat to see the change in his behavior and the new commands he learned. Within two weeks of training he was a new dog; pleasant to have in the house, sits and stays on command, no longer jumping up on people, no more chewing or running away from me when he stole something off the table. Miles is now 10 months old and from time to time he just can't resist the shoe left under the table or the toy laying on the ground but now he looks to me for approval. I can almost see it in his eyes, "Man, I LOVE this shoe!!!! But I better ask if it's ok before I chew the heel off!!" and when I look to him and simply say, "Miles drop it!" he instantly complies. Lamb, Sharron and their staff have created a top of the line training facility. They understand dogs, their behavior and how to break their bad habits in a firm but loving way. They treat their clients with respect and are dedicated to transforming the dogs in their program. They put the time into my very demanding dog who was desperate for guidance that I did not have the time or the patience to give. I no longer feel overwhelmed with his behavioral problems and am looking forward to spending the next 12+ years with a dog whom my family can truly enjoy. I love my dog and am very proud to say that he was trained by the best. In my opinion, All States K-9 doesn't just train dogs, they perform miracles! Kim H, Fullerton Brutus is doing a lot better at home since the training. Lately we have had him indoors with us, he is calmer, responds to commands and generally stays out of things he is not supposed to be in. His biting and jumping has for the most part stopped. Alex and I can both walk him with no problems; I was even able to walk him while Haleigh rode her bike the other day, he was calm and behaved enough that I could keep an eye on Haleigh while she rode with us. We loved the training. Hope to see you guys soon. Jeffrey W, Fullerton
